Schedule for reserved checkouts

Sorry, I sent the previous mail before I was finished ...

first of all I want to say, that I like the concept of subversion very much.
I convinced my head of department almost to switch over to SVN as our SCM system.
The one thing we are missing is a reserved checkout / exclusive lock. We think we need this
to synchronise work on binary files (Word docs etc.) that cannot be merged in a sensible way.

A kind of synchronisation could be achieved manually thru the use of some "locked" property,
but a locking feature supported directly by the tool would be much safer in our environment.

Now my question:
In the issue list the feature "reserved checkouts" (#533) has target milestone Post-1.1.
Is there a time schedule for this already?
