Schedule for reserved checkouts

Hi,

first of all I want to say, that I like the concept of subversion very much.
I convinced my head of department almost to switch over to SVN as our .
The one thing we are missing is a reserved checkout / exclusive lock. We think we need this
to synchronise work on binary files (Word docs etc.), that cannot be merged in a sensible way.

In the issue list the feature "reserved checkouts" (#533) has target milestone Post-1.1.
I would like to know, if there is a time schedule for this already.

With this feature I could convince
