svn: XML parser failed in .... svn: Date conversion failed

My server is running under windows xp. it's version 0.37. I am using
the latest command line client on my mac (panther) and tortoiseSVN on
my windows xp box. I did a commit from the command line on my mac and
now when I try to commit on my pc it won't recognize changes. If I run
cleanup it gives the following error:

svn: XML parser failed in 'my directory'
svn: Date conversion failed

I googled and found this:

But it doesn't seem to solve anything. It's mealy just a statement
about different date formats. I tried to run svnadmin recover on the
repository...even after it still doesn't work.

Any ideas?
