Sorry for the lack of reply here... it's been well known for years that
'svn co -N' is a bit weird, and doesn't work always as expected. There
have been many discussions about this... some people proposing that we
fix it in specific, others proposing that we just remove the switch
completely from 'svn co'. I believe issue 695 is somewhat related, and
issue 781 might be related at well. If you're gung-ho on proposing
specific solutions or behaviors, you might want to read those two issues
and then start a thread on the developer's list.
