So what exactly is the limit to file sizes, if any? Anyone care to share their DB_CONFIG?

Björn,

I am trying to do some tweaking myself on a repository
with exceptionally large files. Not gigabyte size,
but a few of them are several hundred megabytes in
size.

I have several repositories -- all work flawlessly,
except for my repo that is about 8GB in size and
contains megabyte to 100's megabyte file size. Doing
checkouts on this repo often hangs, and I am trying to
track down the problem (see recent thread titled
"svnserve hang")

I just did a bit of reading here:

http://www.sleepycat.com/docs/api_c/env_set_lg_bsize.html

and here:

http://www.sleepycat.com/docs/api_c/env_set_lg_max.html

I have tweaked these parameters -- bumped them up
considerably, and am now retesting. I am curious if
you have had any issues with large file sizes? Have
others on the list done any DB_CONFIG file tweaking
that may help out?

Regards,
Davis
