Sure. You say that you're the only user of the repository... does that
mean you're accessing it directly via file:/// ?

In any case, if so, it's easy to leave the repository in an inconsistent
state if svn suddenly dies while accessing it (via kill -9, crash, or
somesuch.) There's a FAQ about that.

If you want more feedback, you need to be a lot more specific about
*when* the repository gets stuck. In each case, you need to tell us
exactly the last thing you did before it wedges.
