Automatically associate a "commit" with an Issue Tracker ID (i.e. Scarab) through a GUI or some other mechanism?

I have looked over the docs, FAQs, & searched Google and the mailing lists of Subversion and Scarab, but haven't found a complete answer to this question...
I would like to be able to automatically associate a Subversion "commit" with an Issue/Defect ID (i.e. from Scarab). I would also like to back out a commit (or set of commits) for that Issue/Defect ID.
It would be great if there was a GUI client out there that could automatically take care of this Subversion/scarab (or other issue tracker) integration for me.
I realize that I could probably do some of this by hand, i.e. store the commit ID with the Issue/Defect, and if I need to do a "back out" later on, I can simply look at the Issue to discover the associated commit ID. Maybe I could even automate some of this with custom scripts.
So, I am just wondering if somebody out there has done some of this work for us already...
I have looked at the Subissue project page, and that does appear to be the future answer, but I would like to be able to solve this problem in the near term.
Thanks much,
Benjamin Garrett
