Newbie - repository layout

Hi list,

I'm new to Subversion, and I'm going through the online book right
now... looks very nice, I already have a server installed and working,
and I'm ready to experiment.

Now, Subversion increases revision numbers for all projects in the same
repository, each time one or the other project is committed. I guess I'm
one of those people that don't really like this (maybe I'm just not used
to it). The logical solution for me would be: multiple repositories,
maybe even one repository per project.

Now the actual problem: it's impossible to create new repositories from
a client machine. In CVS, I just created a new module for a new project
in my repository, and no need for access to the server machine at all.
But with Subversion, I would have to "svnadmin create" on the server
machine for every new project I want to start.

So the question: is it possible to remotely create new repositories (I
guess not)? Are there maybe plans to customize the revision numbering in
a per-project way, or specific configurations I can use to get this
behavior?

Thanks for your time and patience,

Arnout
