I've had that too in the past!
Joe (gorgot his last name) asked me to send him some debugging output, which
I did. But IIRC, it was not conclusive as to where the bug lay or how to
squash it.
The use case (which I'm convinced of and that I might still find the log
files for) is that someone does a commit while a checkout is in progress. If
there's no commit, there will not be a chunk delimiter failure.
In our case it was also a somewhat large binary file (IIRC 15M) that was
usually the problem (but all other files were way smaller and thus were most
likely not cut into chunks).
