I build subversion, new apache, and dependencies on mkd9.1 (with updates) by
using the source rpms in the mandrake cooker repository. Search for
subversion on rpmfind.net to find a cooker mirror.
You will have to update the subversion source rpm with the latest code version
(I built when 0.35.1 was released). I recommend you stick with the db4
version that comes standard with 9.2; that which came with 9.1 is working
fine and it might reduce dependency problems.
I know this is almost like building from scratch, but once you've created the
source rpm structure, updating to new code and deploying binary rpms to
client workstations, etc. is straightforward and consistent. We have a urpmi
repository at work where we dump this stuff so clients only need to type
'urpmi.update -a; urpmi --auto-select' to get the latest. Not as good as
apt, but hey ...
I'd be happy to send spec files or source or binary rpms from by mdk9.1 build
if they might be useful.
