Getting SVNParentPath and AuthzSVNAccessFile to play together?

I'm trying to get a multi-repository (Apache-based) configuration set up
where valid userids/passwords for all repositories are defined in a single
htpasswd auth file, and access to particular paths and/or repositories is
governed by an AuthzSVNAccessFile.

However, so far I'm unable to get a <Location> that uses both
AuthzSVNAccessFile and SVNParentPath to work.

Do these two play nicely together, or is there something obvious that I'm
missing?
