Getting Output From Post-Commit Hook

Thanks to some other users on this list, I got my svn+ssh access
working, and now I have delved into working on some hooks, in particular
the post-commit hook. My hook seems to work o.k., but I would like the
user to be able to see the output from the processing done by the hook.
Does anyone know of a handy way of displaying the output from the
post-commit hook back to my users across the svn+ssh connect? Is
something like an e-mail message about the only way to do this?
