Subversion machine

Hi -

We are working to replace our CVS repositories with a Subversion
system. We currently use Red Hat for most of our development desktops
and servers. As redhat is changing its support model we are looking to
switch to a new Linux distribution. Is there a preferred distribution
for supporting Subversion? We want to minimize the maintenance in
keeping the clients and servers up to date. We have generally not
supported Apache2 on our machines either. Distribution release cycles
and security patches are also a consideration. If anyone has advice or
opinions I would welcome them. Also, is anyone working with a good
subversion client on MacOSX?

Thanks,
Steve
