RE: Recommendations for a production svn server

It's not a .NET problem, an IIS problem, or even an ASP.NET problem.
In truth, it's a VS.NET problem.

The IDE does some cache magic when you open a project. I haven't
investigated exactly, but when it goes through it's "Refreshing the Project
View" process, having a directory with a period in front (.svn) causes an
error. If you've opened the project before, it'll tell you it failed and
everything will work nicely. If you've never opened the project before, it
won't be able to fill the cache, and the project won't open. Temporarily
renaming the .svn directory while the project loads is the workaround that
we use.

If you don't use the MS IDE (Visual Studio .NET), then you'll never
see the issue.

Could you explain a little more about the .svn problem? I've been using
Subversion with ASP.Net for a couple of months and not had a problem.
