Good point. I already had a temp WC of the base directory, so it took
almost no space in my specific test.

In the original thread, there were two different situations with the
same problem. My situation was trying to add the directory. The
original poster's situation was trying to un-add the
sort-of-but-not-really added directory. In my case what you posted is
(nearly) perfect. In the OP's case, extra information is stuck in the
repository that isn't really desired.
