post-commit hook fails to execute with ra_dav

(please excuse if this is double posted. I sent it from the wrong

initially).

I didn't initially see anything in the FAQ or in past mails, so if I
did, please direct me to the reference so that I can take care of my
problem in that way.

At any rate, what appears to be happening, is that the post-commit hook
is not getting called when utilizing ra_dav on a local repository.
Using ra_local (at least) the hook is called as it would be expected to
be. Is anyone else having a problem like this, or is there some
configuration setting that I mucked up?

svn, version 0.34.0 (r7859)

The script is owned and executable by the same user that executes httpd
(2.0.48).
