Would like to correct a wrong impression here:
Shamim Islam (Files) is not "the" RPM package maintainer for
Subversion on Mandrake. He is "a" maintainer, in the sense that
anyone who voluntarily posts patches is by definition the maintainer
for those patches.
But the Subversion project has not in any sense voted on, blessed, or
otherwise endorsed these packages, nor Files' position as their
maintainer. We do not vouch for their quality, and will not be
distributing them from subversion.tigris.org.
I'm not saying they're bad or good -- I haven't tried them -- just
clarifying that they are an independent project of File's.
Sorry for the tedious mail, but it's better to nip this stuff in the
bud before a wrong impression gets out.
