Excuse me if I'm getting you wrong, but doesn't: svn log --strict
'repos/branches/foobar' tell me, in which revision foobar was created? It
doesn't tell me on which revision foobar was based, if that's what you mean.

We had a discussion on that on the TortoiseSVN mailing list. 'Howto find out
where a copy came from'. I can't find it in the tigris news archive, but
it's still on gmane.comp.version-control.subversion.tortoisesvn.devel.
