I saw something very similar with 0.28.2 on a dual CPU system. I
didn't report this as I hadn't got round to trying to reproduce it
with the latest release. There have been a few messages on the dev
list about problems with Berkeley DB 4.1 on multi-processor systems.
I wonder if this is the same problem.
