First: please don't post word docs. You can attach a screenshot to the
email just fine, no need to risk spreading viruses with a word macro.

Second:
The crash happens because DirectWrite can not be initialized, which
means your graphic card driver is buggy. Install the latest driver.

If the latest driver is buggy as well:
open the settings dialog, go to the "advanced" tab and find the setting
"ScintillaDirect2D" - set this to "false".
