Is closed as NotDiscussed, the first link in the close comment is dead.

It implies sending this email is the correct way to file bugs in SVN, is that so?

I have same issues reported in this bug and here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19218445/svn-tortoise-checkout-failed-error-ra-serfthe-server-send-a-truncated-http-res

And going back to version 1.7 per serf fixes the issue, implying it's a client side problem, or at least there is a client side resolution.
