This is still an issue in version 1.9.3
I too have a Dell laptop with a second monitor on the right. I've just upgraded to the following version and the same thing happens. On main monitor it maximises as expected. On second monitor it maximises off the right-hand edge of the screen. About a 3rd too wide and tall.
