RE: Re: "Save to Clipboard" including BOM marker

Thanks Stefan & Gavin -- I really appreciate the fast response. I had underestimated the subtleties here. It's worth noting that the patch files created without the clipboard _do_ include the 0xEF 0xBB 0xBF BOM within the diff; this is apparent in a binary editor. Removing the BOM from the file causes the "rejected patch hunk" error when you try to apply it.

I will try the next nightly build once I see something greater than r26611 on http://nightlybuilds.tortoisesvn.net/latest/x64/full/,

One additional observation: in the past, I've always just dismissed the TortoiseUDiff window that popped up after I copied to the clipboard. The better workaround for me today is to Select All / Copy (Ctrl-A Ctrl-C) from that window before dismissing it. Perhaps that's what should really be on the clipboard here? (Speculative; I ask this without any real thought about clipboard formats.)

P.S. If anyone has admin skills to trim the phone #'s, etc. from my signature on my original post (made to the mailing list; I had forgotten about this forum) please trim away.
