As for the revision number, a *branch* doesn't have a revision associated
with it. The entire *repository* has a revision. So the revision number you
see in the updated message is the global repository-wide HEAD revision.
If you use svn info, or "show log" dialog, or revision graph, then you
should see that the "last changed revision" for the branch matches your
expectations.
