Hang when fetching head revision for svn:externals

I recently changed my password used to access our SVN server.

I did not enter this password anywhere in SVN just yet.

I went to an existing working copy where I had told TortoiseSVN to
remember my password, and went to the properties editor. There I
selected the svn:externals property for editing.

When I right-click an external definition and choose "Fetch HEAD
revision and adjust to it", a password prompt flashes briefly and then
disappears. Then a progress dialog shows up with a "Cancel" button:

Find HEAD revisions get HEAD revision: {path to a particular external}

The progress bar does not progress at all no matter how long I wait.
Clicking Cancel replaces the progress bar with a "Canceling..." progress
dialog that likewise goes nowhere. I need to force-kill the dialog with
task manager. The Windows Explorer window is now locked, and I need to
force-kill that as well.

This happened several times.

Similar behavior occurred when I selected the "Find HEAD-Revision" button
on the svn:externals dialog instead of right-clicking an individual
rule. In this case the first progress bar progressed a little bit but
stopped moving.

Trying a second time, the password window actually stayed up and the
problem corrected itself. I am not keen to change my password to try
again but the problem doesn't occur for me anymore at the moment. I just
wanted to make sure a bug got filed if needed.
