Hints for debugging TortoiseSVN lock-ups?

I had TortoiseSVN working fine last month; but when I went to use it today,

My configuration is odd. I'm running WinXP in a VirtualBox virtual machine

I haven't used TortoiseSVN in a month, so it's safe to assume that
