We have a large repository that is used both under windows and linux. Parts of the repository have lots of symlinks that are part of a chip IC design kit. We cannot easily change or remove these symlinks. But now when we use TSVN 1.8.8 to try to upgrade the repository working copy under windows in order to use SVN 1.8, the cleanup fails because of the linux symlinks. Under windows 7 on NTFS true symlinks are supported however. So what can we do about this. Do we need a fresh windows checkout?
