Is that accurate that a re-checkout is recommended if we update the client side? What's the easiest way to do this without doing a checkout on top of the working copy, which might destroy more recent WC data? I'd hope that a checkout would recognize existing files and flag conflicts, but wouldn't expect that.

Is there a way for TSVN to tell us what version our server is using? I don't know off-hand. I Do know that we get a warning when the client and server are incompatible.
