RE: Re: fix for cleartype in MFC UIs

I understand you may have thought I said that I was offended by your software. I'm sorry--that isn't what I meant. I am offended by microsoft's dysfunctional handling of cleartype, which is what is causing tortoisesvn parts to render with cleartpe.

I am well aware of the cleartype tuner. It is configured correctly to disable cleartype. Fonts still show with cleartype, if the user requests (as tortoiseSVN by way of MFC has) for cleartype to be used.

> ClearType is working very well, and you can even configure it the way you like.

No, it isn't. Sorry, but I'm the anti-cleartype avenger here. I know what I'm talking about. If I could configure cleartype to completely disappear from my universe, I wouldn't have to be bothering you. There are still some stragglers (Microsoft's MFC) which can't be controlled.

Please re-read my patch. Microsoft says MFC has two modes: "use the system font" and "use the same font office uses, which has cleartype forcibly enabled".
They default it to the latter, which is a terrible idea. We can use the hook they gave us to correct it. Apparently someone knew it was a horrible idea when they made that hook. Why wouldn't you want to use the system font?
