Is it necessary to add a file to SVN before committing that file, or just committing is enough. I am little confused about this

Hi Joseph,
SVN:Add marks the file metadata in your LOCAL working copy as "ready to be added to svn". You must SVN:Commit this change from your working copy to the server to actually apply the change and add the file to your repo.
