Oh, then he probably misunderstood my problem. I was not talking about the SVN repository browser. I was talking about the 'rename' dialog which is available via the context menu ('TortoiseSVN' -> 'Rename...').

This dialog is sufficient if you rename a file inside a certain folder but it is very inconvenient to move/rename a file to a different folder. Consider a header file 'c:\work\trunk\include\namespace\subnamespace\class.h' which should be renamed to 'c:\work\trunk\src\namespace\subnamespace\class.cpp'. I entered something like '..\..\..\src\namespace\subnamespace\class.cpp' (or an even longer absolute file path) because i didn't know the cool drag'n'drop integration which is a very nice answer to my use case.
