For what it's worth, I've seen this, too. It's pretty weird for me, though.
I get it only when trying to connect directly to the server via HTTP. I
have a proxy set up to get past a VPN's restrictions (which are actually
not supposed to apply to me), and I don't have this problem at all going
through the proxy.
