RE: Repo-browser file rename graphics bug from left pane only

If I right click on a directory name in the left pane of the Repo-browser window (important, the problem doesn't occur if you rename from the right pane), the current name of that directory appears in inverse video. So far, so good. Next, if I wiggle the mouse either above or below the highlighted directory name, or sometimes to the far left of the highlighted text area or to the far right of the high-lighted text area, the text starts switching from inverse video to normal video and back and forth. After one or more times that it has switched, it starts showing the filename as white characters on a white background and they are now invisible. If I click once on the filename, it will usually show back up again, but then as I move the mouse with arrow keys or re-click on a different spot of the filename, it will switch back to invisible characters so that I can no longer see the file name. The filename is not gone, just invisible. If I am very careful with the arrow keys, I can navigate the invisible
text to get to where I want to go to fix a typo or otherwise change the directory name.

Again, this problem only occurs on the left pane of the repo-browser window. The right pane works as expected and, obviously, I could choose to only rename from the rightmost pane and avoid this problem, but since it has been present for quite a long time, I thought that I would turn it in as a bug.

Does anyone else ever see this? I searched the user mailing list archives in a number of different ways, but didn't see this previously reported.

Yes I can confirm this behaviour on Win 7 with 1.8.1.

For what it's worth (since Stefan has already logged it as an issue), I've seen it too - on 32-bit Windows 7 in my case.
