Second case is look logical and (almost) OK. I describe it only in contrast
with first case.
Let us forget about second case.

When I open checkout dialog I see options which describe my future working
copy.
So, any selection of depth in combobox will be OK. By default it is 'Fully
Recursive'. Great.

'Choose Items...' dialog looks like more detailed depth settings, so it
should detail depth combobox. But not. It is show something very different
than other setting - it show that my future working copy will contains only
root item.

Or from other side. When I open 'Choose Items...', nothing change in
selection and click OK - I expect that nothing will be changed. But it is
like quantum effects - look on dialog change depth.
