TSVN 1.8.1 error with show log

I recently updated TSVN from 1.7.x to 1.8.1. When selecting Show Log for
a repository running SVN v 1.4.3, I get the following error message:

Unexpected HTTP status 501 'Method Not Implemented' on
'/svn/products/!svn/bc/9850/Optima...........'
-------------
 
The URL listed in the error message includes '!svn/bc/9850/' which is
not part of the URL for the repository. The URL would be correct
without these additional characters. I have not seen any problems prior
to upgrading to 1.8.1.
 
How can I find out what is causing this error?
