Compare Working on Multiple Updates broken in 1.8.x

I update several code trees at the same time. Occasionally, I use the right-click to "Compare with working copy" on an updated file. This worked for all updated files in the 1.6.x and 1.7.x versions I used.
But since the 1.8.0 update, it only works for files in the last updated tree. Any changes in the other trees use the revision number of the last branch updated and fail. This happens in both 1.8.0 and 1.8.1, but did not happen in 1.7.13 and previous versions I used.
