Hi,
I have group of documents under version, including a set of ODF and DOCX
files. I was recently working on one of these files (a DOCX originally
created in MS Word 2012 but editing with LibreOffice Writer 3.6 on my
home machine).
After completing some changes, but before committing those changes, I
used the "Compare with previous version" function in TortoiseSVN to
review the file expecting to see the file open in TortoiseMerge -
instead it opened in LibreOffice showing a partial diff.
I closed LibreOffice, committed the change and reopened the file from
Windows Explorer to continue working and found (frankly to my horror)
that TortoiseSVN appears to overwritten the document with the
differences only.
When I reopen the file, I am now prompted by some sort of difference
tracking tool within LibreOffice writer to accept the changes that I've
made, and shows the difference between the previous version and the
difference file as show by the "compare versions". I'm guessing that
this is some sort of subversion client built into LibreOffice.
Has anyone seen anything like this before and is there (and I've got a
pretty feeling I already know the answer to this) any chance of finding
the file as it was just prior to using the "Compare with previous
version" function?
Thanks,
Andrew
