Bi) What I said was true, but I've changed jobs recently and I've only had the current laptop for a couple months. Given that I have a full-screen virtualbox window on the right monitor almost all the time, this may have been happening the whole time but I only just noticed it. I can say for sure I noticed something odd a week or two back, but it took a while to figure out what it was.

D) With the 1.8 svn bug, I've had both TSVN 1.8 and 1.7 installed, and both have odd starting-maximized behaviour. The key test I don't think I did on 1.8, just 1.7.
