ignore previous message. That was the auth file.
I renamed the config file after showing hidden files. And yes, it created a new one and I no longer have the error message.

Thank you so much. My face is red, but I'll survive. I'd rather be using Linux than Windows 7, but that isn't my choice.

Back to Oracle development, where I know what I'm doing.
