[TSVN 1.8] - Crash upon "Show log" on Win7 x64

Hello TSVN Mailing List,

I have recently installed

TortoiseSVN 1.8.0, Build 24401 - 64 Bit , 2013/06/17 18:15:59
Subversion 1.8.0, -release
apr 1.4.6
apr-util 1.5.2
serf 1.2.1
OpenSSL 1.0.1e 11 Feb 2013
zlib 1.2.8

onto a cleanly reinstalled PC and I have checked out out three different working copies, two from a SVN server and one from another one. I have then chosen to show the log of the last working copy.

What I wanted:

To show the log for that particular working copy.

What I expected:

I expected to see the log dialog filled with all the log messages as on previous 1.7.x versions.

What happened:

A crash dialog (TortoiseSVN x64 has stopped working) sistematically happens and the crash reporter informs me that "Report has been succesfully uploaded".

I see that a Problem ID has been assigned to it (26821) and that its state is "New".

The stack is the following one:

libsvn_tsvn!svn_client__get_copy_source+0x11a1
libsvn_tsvn!svn_client_log5+0x4e5
tortoiseproc!CSVNLogQuery::Log+0x26c
tortoiseproc!CCacheLogQuery::CLogFiller::FillLog+0x2f6
tortoiseproc!CCacheLogQuery::FillLog+0xf9
tortoiseproc!CCacheLogQuery::InternalLog+0x265
tortoiseproc!CCacheLogQuery::Log+0x3bb
tortoiseproc!SVN::ReceiveLog+0x1d7
tortoiseproc!CLogDlg::LogThread+0xffb
tortoiseproc!async::CJobBase::Execute+0x25
tortoiseproc!async::CJobScheduler::ThreadFunc+0x37
tortoiseproc!async::CThread::ThreadFunc+0x2d
msvcr110!beginthread+0x10b
msvcr110!endthread+0xa4
kernel32!BaseThreadInitThunk+0xd
ntdll!RtlUserThreadStart+0x1d

The problem happens also when using the command line client installed alongside the GUI one, so I think this is not a bug of TSVN GUI itself but it is something related to the contents of the control files.

After saying this, should I file a bug elsewhere since this seems to be a libsvn related problem?

Thank you
Best regards

Fabrizio Ammollo
