Updating local repos from 1.7 to 1.8

After updating to v1.8 I get the following error when trying to do anything on my local checkouts.

"The working copy at 'C:\repo'
is too old (format 29) to work with client version '1.8.0 (r1490375)' (expects format 31). You need to upgrade the working copy first."

Is there a way to update the local copies to 1.8 instead of having to do a clean checkout? Back when 1.7 came out there was a menu option to do such, but I don't see any options to update the local copy.
