Hello Stefan!

First of all, thank you and all developers for this great program! :)

Could you clarify something about the subject, please:

1) am I right that the problem is in underlaying library (serf) that is used both on the server side and on the client side, so if both sides run version 1.8, then there are no possibilities on any side that could work-around the problem while staying with 1.8?

2) as far as I understand, downgrading the client side from 1.8 to 1.7 would imply reinstalling TortoiseSVN (which is ok) and re-checking out of working copies (which may be not so good);
I wonder, is downgrading the server side from 1.8 to 1.7 less painful?

3) am I right that normal fix of the problem implies fixes on both sides or it's enough to fix one of them?
Can you estimate when it will happen?
