feature request: dispatch to 1.7 / 1.8 functionality

I expect this will probably get rejected, but I have to ask: is there any way you can make TSVN 1.8 dispatch to Subversion 1.7 when using a v1.7 working copy, and TSVN 1.8 when using a v1.8 working copy, so that *both* versions of working copies are supported?

Or at least support the TSVN version of "svn status" in 1.7?

The reason I ask, is that I have dozens of working copies scattered around in my computer, and due to schedule constraints, it is not practical for me to upgrade them all at once. In particular I need to review each working copy status and ensure that I don't have any modified files not checked in. I installed TSVN 1.8, and until I upgrade the repositories, they are now opaque to TSVN, and I can't even check their status. I have to drop back down to the command-line and execute svn 1.7 to be able to handle the pre-upgrade part of the transition for 1.7 working copies.
