Sorry to say this... I hate the fscking ribbon!

Hi there,

sorry for the rant following, I know you are all volunteers and you do a
great job. I use TortoiseSVN and TortoiseHG on a daily basis. I have
upgraded my TortoiseSVN installation to 1.8.0, and I am shocked to see the
abomination of all user interfaces creeping into this product, too: The
ribbon. So, that's 10% of my horizontal screen estate being uselessly wasted
again. On a wide screen! And no, I can't do away with it with a simple
configuration change. I only have 7 (or so) marginally different styles to
colour it. WTF? We're developers, not cretins that don't know how to use a
computer, FFS!
Can I have the old menu back, please? I am even willing to pay for it.
