Is there a way to get a detailed listing of what has changed in a project before doing an update?

I’m new to the forum, and was not able to find an answer to my question by searching.

I need to know if there is a way to get a detailed list of what has been changed (files list) prior to doing an actual update?

If anyone knows how to do this it would be most helpful.

Thank you.
Mary.
