Commit dialog only shows extensions of changed files

I have installed the 64 bit version of TortoiseSVN 1.7.10 on a new Windows 8 64 bit machine and it all seems to work correctly. However, I initially thought there was a bug with the commit dialog because it was only showing the file extension of the files in the list. E.g. where it should show "src/filename.ext" it just shows ".ext".

It turns out that I was actually looking at the Extension column because the default width of the columns was weird. I needed to resize the first (Path) column to show the full name but I only realised this after uninstalling and re-installing it twice with no difference.

The default appears to be that Path is very narrow (only showing the two icons) and the Extension column was half the width of the window. Surely it would make more sense for the Path column to show at least some of the path and the Extension column to be only big enough to show the Extension column heading.
