The latest release comes from the 1.7.x branch, not from trunk. The
stable branch only gets bug fixes, not new features, otherwise it
would not be stable. If you want to see these properties now you will
have to install a trunk nightly build.

No. Only the defined tsvn:xxxhook will work. You can't invent
tsvn:mygeneralhook. But it appears that they do work on all clients
without being set up by individual users. Which is a bit surprising
because in the docs we say we don't do this for security reasons.
Stefan, should there be a way to disable this type of hook script by
default?
