Upgrading from TortoiseSVN-1.7.9.23248-x64-svn-1.7.6
Win 7 Enterprise 64 bit
I selected the "close and automatically restart applications" option. This is the first time I've tried this, usually I close apps manually; this means I have no info on whether this bug has existed for a while or not.
Most apps closed automatically, except, for unknown reasons Winamp wouldn't exit. So I killed it by hand, then the upgrade/install proceeded apace. And that was all.
When it was done, the desktop remained missing, no apps/processes were running. The "automatic restart" didn't.
Pulling up the task manager and starting explorer manually worked though.
Reading through related postings this is likely a bug with MSI and not TSVN, but maybe not.
