This has been discussed on the mailing list at least a half-dozen times.
Please search the mailing list archives before you post.

If my understanding of the issue is correct, you were duped into
downloading the "wrong" installer. You clicked on some sort of banner-ad
that mislead you into downloading said malware instead of the actual
TortoiseSVN installer, which contains no malware.

Why would the TortoiseSVN developers deliver the installer using such a
"shady" mechanism? Because it's the only means by which the bills are
paid. If you don't appreciate being fleeced into installing malware,
then consider contributing to TortoiseSVN, financially.

Please correct me if I have misstated anything, folks.
