All I'm saying is that if you turn off that feature while you already
have the log dialog open thenrefreshing the log dialog view (F5) will
update it with your new, styling-free setting.

The styling feature does not change the log message at all, it simply
chooses whether or not you want text with leading and trailing
underscores displayed as underlined.
